I apprenticed with Tim when I first became interested in making western boots.  He is extremely knowledgeable and a great teacher.  With his guidance and expertise I have gone on to open my own boot shop, and Tim drove 4 hours to come help me set up my equipment.  I remain in contact with him three years later, and if I ever have a question he is right there to help.  Whether you are looking for a quality pair of boots or a belt, or if you want to learn the art of leather crafting, Tim Alden is the one to go to!

As someone who appreciates experiencing new things, I wanted to learn custom bootmaking . During the course of my research, I found Alden’s School of Leather leather trades and felt Tim’s school would provide the experience I was seeking. Before committing to the class I spoke with Tim; I found him to be very responsive and he took the time to answer my many questions.

I didn’t realize bootmaking was such a complex process, but Tim was patient, encouraging and energetic. He truly loves teaching and working with leather. He is very professional, technically skilled and creative. Although it was a comprehensive course, I had fun every single day of the class! Not only did I leave with a perfect pair of boots, I acquired the skills and knowledge to continue making more!”
